Lay your struggles at the altar. An altar is not an ordinary pile of stones stacked together for sacrifice. It is a place where God continuously kindled His fire. Who first raised an altar in the Bible? Why did he do it? Who asked him to do so? For what reason did he do it? That's a lot of Biblical questions to ponder. Raising an altar first started with the arrival and fulfillment of God's promise of a destination. Abraham raised an altar on Moriah, a place meant for the sacrifice of his son (Genesis 22:25). Abraham had the tools for a burnt offering but could not use them. The angel of the Lord stopped him. "He told him to lay not his hand upon the lad, for how thou feared God." (Genesis 22:12).
The cool thing was that Abraham thought to offer sacrifice to God, but God revealed Abraham-self to Abraham. That's what happens to you at the altar, seeing yourself in God's mirror, God showing you a rescue. In this new month, let your altar be your rescue place. Let it be a place where God will stop and interrupt your schedule for a rescue. Let it be where God will convince you of your wrong approach to His instructions. Let it be a place of providence, where He will provide the tools for the accomplishments of His missions.

Marinate the sacrifice, pour out the oil, and let God disorient your order for His final order. Let God lit you for your sake. Let him count on you for YES to His mission, starting from the altar.
Happy May 2022.
